This document critically examines FDOT’s claim that widening I-75 from six to ten lanes in Southwest Florida will produce little or no meaningful increase in traffic noise for nearby residents. We argue that FDOT’s noise modeling methodology is inadequate and that residents deserve far greater transparency before construction begins.
