West end of Williams Road
WestLake Court at the West Bay Club will feature 26 luxury villa single-family homes (now almost complete) with waterfront and golf views.
Garcia Stromberg has designed a new high-rise called "The Island." It features a central core that maximizes panoramic views from every residence. The condominium emphasizes outdoor living and sunset vistas over the Gulf of Mexico and it includes a rooftop amenities deck with a pool and fitness facilities.
Residences at The Island will feature wider terraces with summer kitchens, expansive glass walls and premium interior finishes. The building will be 23 stories above parking (approximately 270 feet) plus 20 feet for rooftop equipment. The high-rise will be built on Pod 5 at the West Bay Club and will have four units per floor and two penthouse levels. The building's glass will be non-reflective.
The construction is progressing rapidly and is well ahead of schedule. Construction milestones:
- January 2026: 5th floor
- March 2026: 9th floor
- May 2026: 15th floor
- June 2026: Construction had passed the 17th floor, with approximately one floor being poured per week
- August 2026: Tower is above the 21st floor and nearing the top.
- The expected topping-out is September 2026.
The project is the final high-rise development in the West Bay Club community at the west end of Williams Road. The Village Council approved the project in 2022 with a proposal for a residential tower, approximately 23-stories over parking, with 86 units. The approved height was approximately 270 feet, plus rooftop equipment. It seems likely that residents would move in during mid to late 2027.
