FDOT Public Meeting on I-75 Auxiliary Lanes
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public hearing in late October 2026 to present proposed capacity and safety improvements along Interstate 75 serving Collier and Lee counties, directly impacting commuters in and around the Estero community.
Part of the statewide Moving Florida Forward Infrastructure Initiative, the proposed project spans I-75 from Golden Gate Parkway to Alico Road. The state aims to tackle mounting traffic congestion, improve driver safety, and support ongoing regional growth by adding new auxiliary and express lanes in both directions.
Important Note Regarding Noise Walls:
Please note that noise walls will not be a topic of discussion at this hearing. Official information regarding proposed noise barriers will be shared with the public as soon as it becomes available.
