Council Meeting

June 3 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm EDT

The Village of Estero Council will discuss several important matters at its next meeting on Wednesday, June 3.

These meetings are an opportunity for residents to learn more about growth, development, and zoning changes within Estero and to voice questions, concerns, and comments on these topics.

Among the items on the agenda:

  • Approval of the fiscal year 2026-2027 Capital Improvement Program funding of $75.9 million, as well as a five-year priority plan for improvement projects. Allocations include $43.6 million for parks and recreation, $19 million for land acquisition, $7 million for roadways and intersections, and smaller amounts for stormwater, utilities, and bicycle and pedestrian improvements.
  • A motion to purchase four quitclaim deeds for $1,000 each from homeowners for right-of-way to support the Broadway Avenue West utility extension project.
  • A second reading of a motion to rezone 9.5 acres on Three Oaks Parkway from agricultural/commercial to Community Facilities Planned Development to allow for the construction of a 10,000-square-foot storage building behind the Estero Fire Station.

The board will also hold workshops on a proposed West Bay Club conservation easement, comprehensive annual fiscal year audit, and a bond issue regarding Synovus Bank.

Residents who wish to comment during the meeting should complete a Public Comment Card. E-comment forms are also available before meetings and must be returned by noon the day before the meeting.
