Estero High Seniors Recognized
Senior Awards Night was held at Estero High School on Wednesday, May 6th for the Class of 2026.
Many academic, athletic and technical education awards were announced and presented. The event started with a welcome by Principal Jennifer Seluk and a wonderful rendition of the National Anthem by Class of 2026 student, Elena Garcia.
Over 30 community organizations presented Awards and Scholarships to open the recognition event. Samples of the organizations included FGCU Early College Programs, Pelican Sound, Shadow Wood, Suncoast Credit Union, Bonita Bay Veterans, Red Sox Foundation, Epsilon Nu Boule Foundation, Estero Forever Foundation, U.S. Marine Corps and Rotary’s from Bonita Springs and Sanibel-Captiva.
Following the Community Awards, Academic and many other awards were handed out. They included, National Honor Society, Armed Services Recognition, Career & Technical Education Industry Certification, Medical Academy, Cambridge Learners and Student Athletic Recognition.
Three $1000 Scholarships presented (below) as part of an Essay Contest on Estero History, Governance and Business. These were sponsored by the Estero Historical Society, Engage Estero and the Greater Estero Chamber of Commerce.

The Greater Estero Chamber of Commerce presented numerous awards.
LEAD Estero Student Co-President and Co-founder Matthew Stevens, pictured far left, announced $42,500 in Scholarships for fellow students. These funds were raised at the Breaking Par for Education Event held earlier this year.
