An Ohio native, Cheryl moved to South Fort Myers with her husband in 1982 and to Estero in 1995. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Findlay and is nationally accredited in public relations.
She recently retired from Lee Health, where she worked in Strategic Communications & Public Relations, and has held leadership positions in Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties, Hope Healthcare, and Bonita Bay Group.
Cheryl is an Award-winning communications, marketing, and public relations executive with more than 30 years of progressive leadership experience guiding strategic communications, brand management, media relations, internal communications, fundraising, community outreach, and marketing initiatives for leading healthcare systems, nonprofit organizations, and real estate developers.
Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated communications strategies that strengthen organizational reputation, support cultural transformation, increase stakeholder engagement, and achieve measurable business objectives. Experienced in leading high-performing teams, managing multimillion-dollar operating budgets, and partnering with executive leadership to advance organizational goals.
Her career highlights include helping lead the successful opening of Lee Health’s children's hospital, directing communications for a health system's 100th anniversary and rebranding initiative, expanding volunteer and fundraising programs, launching award-winning publications and branding campaigns, implementing digital communication platforms, and successfully positioning new communities and healthcare services for growth.
