Aldi applied for a grocery store project at 11906 Newbridge Drive, located east of Stoneybrook Golf Drive and south of Corkscrew Road — the area just east of Corkscrew Shores where new retail is planned. The store will be approximately 20,642 sq ft (often cited as about 22,000 sq ft) and include room for additional smaller retail spaces nearby.
Plans show access from both Corkscrew Road/Stoneybrook Golf Drive and Newbridge Drive, with architecture described as Mediterranean Revival–style, consistent with other Estero commercial design. Store hours are proposed to be 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., similar to other Aldi stores.
The Aldi project is well into the construction phase and the store is targeted to open in December 2026.
