The Village of Estero Planning, Zoning and Design Board will discuss several important matters at its next meeting on Tuesday, November 18.

These meetings are an opportunity for residents to learn more about growth, development, and zoning changes within Estero and to voice questions, concerns, and comments on these topics.

Items for discussion on the agenda include:

• A request by automotive chain Discount Tire to build on a vacant one-acre lot in the Estero Interstate Commerce Park between Rib City and Mr. Tequila.
• A request by new restaurant the Toasted Yolk Café to allow outdoor alcohol consumption on its restaurant patio area, located in the former Zoe’s Kitchen on Lyden Drive. Village staff reports the request is in compliance with local zoning rules.
• Adoption of local rules governing recovery residences in the Village of Estero to comply with new state regulations.
• A workshop, which will allow public comment, on the ongoing eco-historic planning study.

Residents who wish to comment during the meeting should complete a Public Comment Card. E-comment forms are also available before meetings and must be returned by noon the day before the meeting.
