The Village of Estero Council will discuss several important matters at its next meeting on Wednesday, March 18.

These meetings are an opportunity for residents to learn more about growth, development, and zoning changes within Estero and to voice questions, concerns, and comments on these topics.

Among the items on the agenda:

• An amendment to a contract for the High 5 entertainment facility to ensure impact fees of more than $513,000 will be paid. Once the parcel moved from Village to private ownership, this made paying impact fees a requirement. This amendment will allow High 5 to offset these fees by revising compensation provisions at a rate of $100,500 per year for the 5-year contract.
• Updates to the Village land development code to ensure it meets new standards for a statewide building code.
• Council member workshops on the Broadway Ave. West improvements project and Estero RiverPark driving range proposal.

Councilors will also hold a workshop to receive updates on the Bonita-Estero Rail Trail (BERT) project, including corridor acquisitions.

Residents who wish to comment during the meeting should complete a Public Comment Card. E-comment forms are also available before meetings and must be returned by noon the day before the meeting.
