Estero’s Volunteers Recognized at Awards Ceremony for Keeping Our Roads Clean
On March 2, at the Keep Lee County Beautiful (KLBC) Environmental Stewardship Awards Ceremony, Estero volunteers were recognized as “Outstanding Adoption Groups” for removing tons of litter and debris from our roads and highway. Engage Estero’s “Adopt a Highway,” and the Village of Estero’s “Adopt a Road” program was highlighted at the event. Both programs were created and managed by Estero’s Julie Yellig.
The award recognizes everyone who acts as a steward of our Estero community. We are proud of Estero’s residents who participate in these programs and those who work quietly and independently with equal determination. The leadership of Engage Estero extends their congratulations to Julie and all the volunteers who work so hard to keep Estero clean and beautiful.
Engage Estero is an all-volunteer, nonpolitical, nonprofit Community Engagement Association. We exist to inform citizens of significant community issues and encourage citizen engagement to favorably impact the quality of life in greater Estero.
