Thanks to Master of Ceremonies Clay Miller, NBC2 Morning Anchor and co-sponsors The Club at Grandezza and Lee Health Coconut Point, the ECCL Education Council hosted its 2nd annual “Estero Excellence in Education” celebration at The Club at Grandezza on December 3, 2019. The annual event is to recognize the teachers, school administration leadership and staff, and the volunteer Estero Education Ambassadors who help make the Village of Estero’s Education Initiative a great success!

Junior Achievement’s (JA) “2-5-8- Graduate” program is the ECCL’s Education Council’s flagship program. This school year the ECCL recruited 131 Estero Education Ambassador volunteers to team-teach more than 300 JA class sessions to more than 1,200 students at Estero-area schools. Every 2nd, 5th,  8th, and 11th-grade students are engaged in JA programs as part of their school curriculum. These JA programs include real-world experiential learnings and have Civics threaded lesson plans that focus on three educational pillars: financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.

We invite you to view and enjoy the NBC-2 news clip and photos recognizing teachers, students, school leadership and staff, and the volunteer Estero Education Ambassadors as they celebrate “Estero Excellence in Education”.
