Traffic Congestion in Estero: Public Forum

April 16 @ 6:00 pm EDT

Public Forum

Learn the Reasons for Traffic Congestion, the Problems,
Potential Solutions, and What You Can Do

Engage Estero presented a free public forum to discuss traffic congestion, identify problems, and share potential solutions we can employ individually, as a Village, or as a County. Population growth is putting pressure on our roads and current residents. Everywhere we look, we see the symptoms of congestion.

Effective traffic congestion solutions require a collaborative approach involving experts, community members, and policymakers. The Forum featured expert panelists on traffic congestion.

The Meeting Examined:

  • The key issues that have led to the current congestion in Greater Estero
  • Why it can take many years to make changes to the road structure even after the problem is identified
  • Why road widening along East Cokscrew is slow to catch up with the developments taking place
  • What can be done to create a positive impact by helping to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow? What are the solutions?
