Over this last weekend, Engage Estero’s Adopt a Highway volunteers collected 700 pounds of bagged litter. This effort is conducted with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to help clean Hwy 41 between the Vines entrance (Breckenridge Road) north of Walmart and south of Coconut Road.
This month, volunteers represented Rapallo, Pelican Sound, RiverCreek, Bella Terra, Copperleaf, The Vines, Shadow Wood, Grandezza, Belle Lago, and Stoneybrook. Engage Estero’s board of directors and management are grateful to all those who help reduce litter not only on the stretch of road mentioned but also on many other roads in Estero.
Many residents are passionate about ensuring our community looks its best to residents and visitors alike. Estero is one of the most attractive municipalities in Lee County, and the efforts to keep it that way are greatly appreciated.
We thank all our volunteers, including those involved in other Adopt a Road programs, for being an important part of our vision for a beautiful and environmentally healthy Estero.
Marathon/Dos Amigos Authentic Mexican Grill continues to provide water and ice to volunteers again this season, acknowledged and appreciated by everyone involved in the clean-up.
