LEAD Estero Students Present Scholarships To Fellow high school students.

At the Annual Estero High School Awards on May 7th,  LEAD Estero seniors presented the scholarships made possible by Breaking Par for Education event sponsored by Engage Estero and held at The Club at Grandezza in 2023.

Rolando Escandon, LEAD Estero Nick Batos Scholarship $5000,
Emily Salas, LEAD Estero Sandra Kauanui Scholarship $1000,
Jessica Brown, LEAD Estero Topper Family Scholarship $5,000 and
Sophie Perkins LEAD Estero Founders Scholarship $20,000 ($5,000 for four years)

Presenting the Scholarships were Continuing Left to Right:

Seniors Jeffrey Stevens, President LEAD Estero, Kyra Ritter, Vice President LEAD Estero and Brett Kuieck, LEAD Estero Historian.

The 2024 Breaking Par for Education at Grandezza completed this April netted an additional $80,000.  These funds will be used for next year’s scholarships and for the Estero High School Leadership Summer Camp held at FGCU Daveler & Kauanui School of Entrepreneurship on July 22 to 25, 2024.

With proceeds from this year, the total for twelve years is $641,000; all for the betterment of K-12 education in greater Estero; and beyond.  The dates for the 13th Annual Breaking Par for Education at Grandezza are February 1 and 2, 2025.

Kyra Ritter awarded Scholarships from Estero Chamber, Estero Historical Society and Engage Estero

Also at the Awards night, Kyra Ritter received three $1000 Scholarship checks for her essays on Estero Governance, Business and Village Development.  Presenting the awards are (L)  Mike Wasson from Engage Estero and (R) Bill Ribble representing the Chamber of Commerce and the Estero Historical Society.
