As a result of Estero’s local volunteer effort, 620 pounds of bagged litter was collected this month. That amounts to over 2 tons, which has been collected from Estero’s Hwy 41 since the end of last season. The Adopt a Highway program area covers the distance between the Vines entrance (Breckenridge Road) north of Walmart and south of Coconut Road.

This month’s volunteers represented Rapallo, Pelican Sound, Bella Terra, Copperleaf, The Vines, Belle Lago, Wildcat Run, Shadow Wood, Grandezza, and Riverwoods. Engage Estero thanks them for their time and dedication to helping keep our roads clear of rubbish.

Our thanks also go to Marathon/Dos Amigos Authentic Mexican Grill for providing water and ice to the team of volunteers.

We are grateful to our volunteers for being such an important part of our vision for a beautiful and environmentally healthy Estero. Their efforts help underline that Estero is a caring community. They have increased awareness and inspired businesses and residents to step up throughout Estero.
