Following several meetings with London Bay Homes\, they have made some concessions to their earlier plans which they wish to present. Nevertheless\, the ECCL remains concerned. \nDespite being informed of the impressive results gained from ECCL’s online and focus group market research work last year\, London Bay Homes concessions may not completely satisfy the wishes that most boaters expressed regarding the availability of practical and convenient means to launch their boats at this location. \nAgain\, we know there is a great deal of interest and concern about this issue and we encourage you to attend the meeting on February 26th to hear what London Bay Homes has to say and afford you the opportunity to express your views on the plans being suggested.

It’s called the Estero Forever Foundation. \nHistoric heritage\, environmental preservation\, recreational facilities and sports fields\, and art and cultural centers are just some of the top priorities of the recently established foundation. \nThis new 501(c)3 organization was recently established with the goal of “forever building a stronger community” in order for Estero to continue to be the best place to live\, work\, play and visit. \nThe Foundation envisions the Village of Estero having interconnected parks\, trails and other green public spaces\, recreational facilities and arts and cultural centers that foster a sense of belonging and creates a sense of place and purpose.  And the Foundation plans to mobilize and distribute the financial resources necessary to meet these community needs. \nThere are many residents who love the Village of Estero and would be gratified leaving a legacy which would impact those who follow. \nA number of Estero volunteers are working together to assure the success of the Foundation’s mission\, as well as planning a yearly special celebration event. \nVillage entities that support the mission and vision of the Foundation include the Village of Estero Council\, the Estero Chamber of Commerce\, the Estero Council of Community Leaders and Estero not-for-profit organizations. \nAll community projects supported will be in line with Estero’s Comprehensive Plan and in response to the needs expressed by the community.
