Current Issues

There is still work to do

As Estero grows, the threats facing it grow stronger. The most important time to address long-range issues is BEFORE they have been approved. Our experienced volunteers pour through the agendas, minutes, documentation and calendars of obscure state and local agencies to see where issues will arrive and know when and how to best address them.

The ECCL monitors transportation planning at the State level, sometimes decades in advance; tracks developments appearing before the Village and County before they are approved, when changes can still be made; spreads important contact information throughout Estero in a timely manner; providing thorough background information on these issues; and regularly tracks the progress of growth and development in South Lee County.
