Public Education

Public education in Estero is provided by the Lee County School District. The Village of Estero’s councilmember liaison to the school district is Nick Batos.

More schools are planned for the Estero area, in response to its rapid growth.

Higher Learning

The Florida University System’s closest campus is located just northeast of Estero proper and has a major impact on the area. Florida Gulf Coast University provides undergraduate and graduate studies for resident and commuter students. This school is relatively new and is growing quickly in terms of students, faculty, programs and physical facilities.
